Neighborhood overviewThere is a parade of activities in the ocean and on shore right out in front of our condo. You can take on the “World Championship Iron Man” course (yep - we live on it with the swim turn around buoy right in front and the run course along Ali’i Drive on the mauka (towards the mountain) side of the condo. Watching the surfers and boogie boarders is often my choice of morning entertainment, as I watch them in awe, with my cup of “Kona Coffee” in hand, right from our Lanai. FYI: The “Boogie Board” was created by Tom Morey in 1971 and was first used at Honl’s beach on the break directly in front of your condo.
Grab a cup or a glass of whatever you like and watch it all. From when the sun first comes up in the morning to it’s next ‘magnificent - Jaw Dropping’ end of the day SHOW ! ! The sunsets are never the same and always stunning in their own unique way. Watch the dolphins spin, the whales breach, the outrigger canoe teams practice, adventurers parasailing, turtles in tidepools, Monk seals (if you’re really lucky) come up on the beach, and listen to the waves crash, all from your condo. Sound UNREAL? It is really rather “Other Worldly”, but it’s our front yard! Comfy custom built couch & chairs on the lanai and windows throughout the unit enable you to take in and feel a part of the daily show.

Walk or bike to the Kailua-kona pier for a swim/snorkel, bike or drive to Kahalu'u snorkeling cove to immerse yourself in colorful coral and fish. Search the tidepools in front for pooka and cowry shells & the local Honu (turtles) feasting. Take in daily yoga classes next door at Honl’s beach and some evenings fire spinning or bubble blowing shows you can watch from the comfort of our unit or venture out to participate.
Take part of a any of the amazing island tours. Volcano National Park, coffee farms, waterfalls, zipline, Quad offroading or a Luau.
Wrap up the day with sunset happy hour around the pool with owners blowing the pu’ as the sun disappears in the turquoise ocean.
In the evening walk to the heart of Kailua Kona, which is only a 5 minute leisurely stroll away. As you go, you can stop in for oceanfront dancing at historic Royal Kona Resort or Huggos on the Rocks, where live bands play nightly. Grab street tacos or gelato at Coconut Grove and watch the nightly volleyball competition while listening to the live bands at many bars and restaurants along the waterfront.
At the end of the night walk back to the condo to take a restorative bath or shower and plunge into the large, cushy master bed with cool AC or leave the windows open for ocean breezes and the sound of the waves lulling you to sleep.
